What changed in FRNT reserve data?

The Wyoming Stable Token Commission has expanded the use of Chainlink Proof of Reserve for the state-backed Frontier Stable Token. Under the decision, FRNT’s reserves and circulating token supply will be published as verified data on-chain in near real time. The arrangement is designed to improve visibility into the stablecoin’s collateral structure between reporting periods.

Wyoming was already publishing daily reserve attestations for FRNT. In addition, the GENIUS Act requires monthly disclosures of reserve composition and the amount of stablecoin in circulation. The new integration will make it possible to track changes more quickly between those two reporting windows.

How will the verification process work?

The system combines Chainlink infrastructure with independent reviews carried out by The Network Firm. As a result, reserve data will not only be reported, but also made available on the blockchain in verified form.

  • The size of the reserves will be published on-chain.
  • FRNT supply in circulation will be tracked through the same system.

How will new token issuance and reserves be affected?

The commission is also considering activating Chainlink's Secure Mint feature. Under this model, new token issuance would only be possible if verified reserves are equal to or greater than the total FRNT supply. The move is especially important for automatically checking collateral compliance in stablecoin issuance.

Launched in January, FRNT is backed by U.S. dollars and short-term U.S. Treasury bills. Interest income generated from the reserves is transferred to the Wyoming School Foundation Program account. The latest move comes after Wyoming fully moved FRNT from LayerZero to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP, about two weeks ago, making CCIP the token’s only cross-chain infrastructure.

What could the market impact be for Chainlink?

Wyoming's decision adds another integration to Chainlink's recent string of wins across tokenized equities, stablecoin settlement and traditional finance infrastructure. The company most recently became the price data provider for Coinbase's B20 tokenized equity products launched on Base in August. After joining Project Pangea with European and South Korean banks in June, Chainlink also said in May that it would take part in DTCC's planned 24/7 tokenized collateral platform.

According to CoinGecko data, LINK has risen by more than 34% over the past month and was trading at around $11.07 on Wednesday. Wyoming's FRNT move stood out as one of the latest developments expanding Chainlink's use cases in both public-sector stablecoin projects and traditional finance-linked applications.
