Free support event in Guildford on Sunday

Back-to-school costs are being eased through an event in Guildford, in Surrey, England. Sid Gumbrell will give children free haircuts at his Clean Cuts Barber Shop on Sunday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. UK time and hand out basic school supplies.

The event will take place as families face rising expenses ahead of the new school year. Gumbrell said the total cost of items such as school uniforms, shoes and haircuts has been climbing, adding that even removing one expense would make a meaningful difference to household budgets.
